If you're a Silhouette Cameo maker, and you need to create and print your files on paper then this is the software program that will do that. Created by Laminar Research, it's a free software program with the ability to read .stl files, import them into 3D design programs like 3D Studio Max and Autodesk Maya. This program also enables export of .STL files directly from the application. To be clear this is NOT an app for teaching how to use Pepakura software or any other computer-based design programs. This is an app that enables you to create your own files to be printed on paper by a 3D printer. During the Victorian era, the "Pepakura Viewer" was originally developed for use with "Pepakura Designer", which is a computer program used to create models of action figures and furniture with paper cutouts. Shortly after, the "Pepakura Viewer" was also made available for non-members of the Pepakura Designer v4 website, so it could be downloaded and installed on computers without membership. Then in 2010, Laminar Research announced that they were releasing the "Pepakura Viewer" for free for general use. The user interface is divided into two parts. The left side of the interface is for creating and viewing .pdo files, and the right side is for viewing .pdi files. The window in the center allows the user to switch between viewing file types. There are also buttons to open additional menu panels on the right. These additional menu panels allow users to manage their Pepakura Designer library, import new models, export models, view credits, change display options, change system settings, access special features specific to users of Mac computers, and check their online help manual. The program can be used on Windows XP or newer Windows operating systems without any other program installed. It's not compatible with Apple's Mac OS but can be used with Linux operating systems if Wine is installed. Before using the program, it's recommended to go to the Pepakura Designer website and register with an account. The website provides a tutorial where users can learn how to use the program. It's also recommended that users watch the special tutorials on the Pepakura Viewer site. Pepakura Viewer 3 is compatible with Windows XP or newer Windows operating systems without any other software installed It's not compatible with Apple's Mac OS but can be used with Linux operating systems if Wine is installed. The "Pepakura Viewer" can be downloaded from Laminar Research, Inc.'s site . The "Pepakura Viewer" can also be downloaded from the FreewareGeek site .Printing the files created by the "Pepakura Viewer" is done using 3D printers. The files are designed for use with open-source software, like RepRap and Makerware, which are tools used to create 3D prints. The applications can be found at this site. An example of how to modify a model created in "Pepakura Designer" is seen here . As of March 2017, the website that hosts "Pepakura Viewer" still uses free registration system. However, you do not need to register for downloading the software program itself. 81eaaddfaf 35
